DWAYNE “The Rock” Johnson has proved his tough guy image is no act as he saved his family from being trapped at home.

Dwayne, 48, was forced to rip his front gate from its hinges with his bare hands so he could get to work after a power failure trapped him inside.

The Jumanji actor shared with fans all the different ways he tried to get the gates open after “a power outage due to severe storms” caused his front gate not to open.

Not wanting to let the cast and crew down on his new film playing DC super hero Black Adam, the former wrestler decided to take matters into his own hands.

“Not my finest hour, but a man’s gotta go to work,” he captioned the post alongside a picture of the discarded gate on the ground.

After trying to override the hydraulic system and calling technicians to come to sort out the issue, he decided he couldn’t wait for them to arrive.

The dad-of-two wrote: “By this time, I know I have hundreds of production crew members waiting for me to come to work so we can start our day.

“So I did what I had to do. I pushed, pulled and ripped the gate completely off myself.

“Ripped it completely out of the brick wall, severed the steel hydraulics and threw it on the grass.”

According to Dwayne’s security team, when the gate technicians turned up they were “in disbelief and equally scared” that he managed to rip it off.

He concluded: “Not my finest hour, but I had to go to work. And I’m 💯 ready to be BLACK ADAM⚡️💪🏾,.”

The star then shared video of the “destruction” and also the technicians taking away the gate.

He also ruled out jumping the fence and hailing a ride if this were to happen again.

Dwayne captioned the video: “Well here’s the destruction 🤦🏽‍♂️ I left behind after ripping my gates off and going to work.”

“Sure as hell wasn’t my best hour, but there were a lot of people waiting for me at work so I did what I had to do, hopped in my pick up and went to work.

“Maybe next time I’ll just hop the gates and call an Uber. Actually, no I won’t. There’s no fun in that.”

He then went on to thank the techs and welders admitting it was “just one of those days where I wasn’t in the mood”.

He finished.”We’ve all been there.”

Dwayne’s unbelievable show of strength comes days after he revealed he and his family tested positive for coronavirus.

In the clip, Dwayne spoke directly to the camera as he sported a gray zip-up hoodie.

He said: “I wanted to give you guys a little helpful update on some of the things that I’ve been going through on my end for the past two-and-a-half to three weeks now.

“So the update is this. My wife Lauren, as well as my two baby girls and myself, we have all tested positive for COVID-19 and I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family and for me personally, too, as well.

Dwayne said that contracting the virus was “a real kick in the gut.”

He explained: “And I’ve gone through some doozies in the past. I’ve gotten knocked about and had my ass kicked in the past with some challenges, but testing positive for COVID-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries or being evicted or even being broke, which I have been more than a few times.

“The reason why I feel this is different is because my number one priority is always to protect my family and protect my children- my loved ones.”
