Taylor Swift had a close call after her stalker was arrested outside of her New York City apartment.

Police received a call that a “disorderly” man was trying to enter the building. “Upon arrival, [police] were informed that the individual attempted to open a door to a building at the location,” a police representative said in a statement.

The incident apparently happened in the afternoon, while the man (whose name hasn’t been publicly confirmed) didn’t resist officers when they arrived.

“I first saw him around 1 pm, he went up to Taylor’s door,” an insider told Page Six. “I’m not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell… He didn’t resist. There was no yelling or anything.”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only person who has been arrested for stalking the “Reputation” singer. In 2020, Eric Swarbrick was taken into custody for sending threatening emails to her record label. Then, Joshua Christian, was apprehended in July 2022, after attempting to break into her Tribeca apartment.

More recently, in May of 2023, Mitchel Taebel, aged 36, faced arrest for trespassing at her residence in Nashville following a series of incidents.

Travis Kelce’s Family Worries For Their Safety

It’s not only herself that Taylor has to worry for, but also her loved ones. The musician is currently dating Chiefs player Travis Kelce, whose family admitted they’ve become more concerned for their safety given the high-profile romance.

Speaking to NBC Sports, Travis’ brother Jason Kelce admitted their family has never received the kind of attention it’s gotten since Swift debuted her romance with Travis in September.
“It’s certainly been weird, the level that it is now,” he said. “On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about, that he is genuine about. But there’s another end of it where it’s like, ‘Man, this is a lot.’”

“[But it’s] another level of stardom that typically football players don’t deal with,” Jason went on. “So, on one hand, really, really happy for my brother and where he’s at in his current situation with Taylor. But on the other hand, there’s some alarms sometimes with how over-in-pursuit people can be.”

“Overall, he can deal with some of this,” Jason, who is also an NFL star, added. “As long as it’s not becoming a threat to his safety and things like that.”

Taylor herself has expressed concern for her safety. In 2021, the singer admitted to Elle that she takes extreme precautions when out in public in order to ensure her safety after so many scary incidents.

“My fear of violence has continued into my personal life, she said at the time. “I carry QuikClot army grade bandage dressing, which is for gunshot or stab wounds. You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things.”

It remains unclear if Taylor was home when her most recent stalker tried to enter the NYC apartment.
