Charlotte Flair will miss WrestleMania 40.

The babyface side of WWE SmackDown’s women’s division is lacking in depth after Charlotte Flair suffered an unfortunate injury last month. The Queen tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus during a match against Asuka on the December 8 edition of the Friday night show.

This may have ruined potential plans for her at WrestleMania 40, where Charlotte seemed destined to face Bianca Belair. Now that this major match is a no-go, The EST of WWE must find another high-level opponent while Flair is on the mend. Ideally, a babyface who can take her place on the SmackDown roster.

While there are some interesting options, one of them sticks out as the perfect Charlotte Flair replacement for ‘Mania. Naomi (aka Trinity) has been rumored to return to the company upon the end of her time in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.

Jimmy Uso’s wife could return in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match and face Belair at WrestleMania 40. It would shine a well-deserved spotlight on the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, who wasn’t used in the best way in her previous run in WWE.

Naomi left the company in mid-2022 alongside Sasha Banks (aka Mercedes Moné). Hopefully, her impending return will be handled much better than her departure, whether or not it begins with a feud against Bianca Belair. Could she possibly turn heel after a few months and join her husband in The Bloodline?

When will Charlotte Flair return to WWE?

WWE has stated that Charlotte Flair will miss nine months, which means a return in October is possible. The Queen could be back for the build to Survivor Series or even earlier, depending on how well her recovery goes. The SmackDown star has received a lot of good wishes from her peers after undergoing surgery.

Charlotte has several possible opponents for when she returns, including Bianca Belair after their potential encounter had to be canceled. Naomi would give the 14-time world champion a great match, while Jade Cargill and Becky Lynch also come to mind. The latter can reunite with Flair after they reconciled last year.

However, for now, we wish Charlotte Flair all the best in her rehabilitation process following a tough injury.
