‘Dance Moms‘ star Abby Lee Miller has always been open about her opinions — or rather digs — at celebrity dance moves. Though she has won a lot of recognition for the show, she has made headlines for her negative comments about some celebrities.

Miller had recently criticized Taylor Swift for her dance movies during her podcast. This time, the dancer-mom has taken a dig at Britney Spears and her recent dance videos. Here’s what she said.

Abby Lee Miller was speaking at an interview with the Daily Mail, Miller said she is disappointed about Spears’ recent dance performances. She recalled Spears’ earlier days when she was a “great, confident, and well-taught” dancer who used to perform like J-Lo.

“‘Toxic’ I mean, any of those songs, even in her video […Baby One More Time] the iconic schoolgirl outfit, coming down the hallway with the lockers. She was dancing and she could dance,” Miller said. “She was great. She was just great.”

However, Miller now said that Spears’ talent has declined over time. She also laid out a reason for that stating that Spears lacks practice and has grown a penchant for low-rise pants. “She was away from her dance teacher too long,” Miller said.

“That’s number one … dance is a constantly evolving art form, so you have to continually stay with the trends.” On top of that, Miller just wants Spears to pull her pants up. “The lower your pants are, the longer your body looks and the shorter your legs look,” she explained.

“You want to be head and neck and legs. So, she keeps pushing her pants down, making her body look longer and her legs shorter. And I’m like, ‘Pull your pants up and make your legs look longer,’” Miller added.

“I cringe and I yell at her and then the whole world hates me, and then the world of Britney comes after me like I’m psycho. How dare I,” Miller said. Earlier in March 2021, Miller had asked Spears to “close [her] ribcage” after the singer posted a video of herself dancing in her living room.

This isn’t the first time Miller is in hot water for criticizing celebrities’ dance skills. Last month, she roasted Taylor Swift for her dancing on her podcast ‘Leave it on the Dance Floor’. Miller went far enough to call the Grammy winner “pigeon-toed“, suggesting it might be “too late” for Swift to improve.

She also opined that Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce is a better dancer than she is. “I think she does probably think she should have danced as a kid,” she said, as she called the singer’s boyfriend Travis Kelce “a natural” on the dance floor. “Her boyfriend is a much better dancer,” she said referring to Kelce. “Let’s leave it at that.”
