Becky Lynch states that she’s a WWE-lifer and would retire at the same company.

The new year might be an unprecedented one in the realm of professional wrestling. Having said that, loads of contracts are believed to be expiring in 2024, starting with the likes of AEW Champion MJF and NJPW’s poster boy Kazuchika Okada. Not only that, it was recently reported that WWE’s top couple, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch‘s respective deals, would be up in June 2024.

It sparked an unbridled spree of speculation about whether they would stay in WWE or explore other ventures. Putting those rumors to rest, Becky Lynch recently stated that WWE will always be her home, and it’s where she’ll be retiring.

Speaking on Strutting from Gorilla, The Man talked about her journey at length. She stated that WWE is the place where Becky Lynch was born as a professional wrestler, and she couldn’t think of a better place to hang up her boots.

This might come across as great news for her fans. Even if there were doubts that she might leave the company once her deal was up, it has been completely shot down by Becky herself. As of now, she has not signed a new contract, but WWE is making active efforts to lock down multiple names for big contracts.

[WWE is] my home. It’s where I was born as a professional wrestler in many ways in terms of my influence, and it’s where I’ll retire.

As for Becky Lynch, what a year she’s had! Who could ever forget the WrestleMania 39 moment where she joined forces with Trish Stratus and Lita to fend off The Damage CTRL?

If that wasn’t enough, Trish turned her back on Becky, and the two went on to have a five-month-long feud that culminated in a Steel Cage match at WWE Payback.

Becky Lynch will collide with Nia Jax at Day 1 edition of WWE Raw

In the past few weeks, Becky Lynch has been constantly targeted by Nia Jax. The latter has alleged that Lynch would’ve never gone on to become The Man if Nia hadn’t broken her nose. Last week on Raw, Becky decided to verbally slaughter Jax.

This Monday, when Jax declared herself for the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match, Becky stated that none of the fans cared about it. Moreover, for a moment, it appeared as if Des Moines would be getting a first-time-ever matchup between these two women.

However, The Irresistible Force backed down and stated that she’d fight Becky in her hometown of San Diego. Having said that, WWE has officially announced Becky Lynch vs. Nia Jax for the Day 1 edition of Raw.
