Rising to fame with her Disney show, the singer grew up learning music from her father and the country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. In her recent Hulu special, Cyrus shared that her father “had the No. 1 country song” when she was born.

She recalled learning music from her father as she quoted them as “great memories” and claimed that “vocally [her] dad was underappreciated.” While her father was also a well-known singer at the time, Cyrus believes that they have had a contrasting relationship with fame. Explaining that she grew up on stage and in front of the camera with her family’s love and support.

However, her father did not have all that growing up. “My dad grew up the opposite of me,” she shared. The Malibu singer further stated that she has seen people going from “nothing to everything” and how it affects them, saying, “It’s a really dangerous place.”

She claimed that it’s something that highly differentiates her and Billy Ray Cyrus’ relationship with fame, as being loved by a massive audience made him feel special. She mentioned that feeling is “like healing a childhood wound” for her father.

Cyrus shared that, unlike her father, she grew up with this feeling of being a star and stated that’s the difference between her and her father’s relationship with fame and success.

The Alleged Feud Between Miley Cyrus And Billy Ray Cyrus

In 2022, reports emerged that Miley Cyrus had gotten into a nasty feud with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, following his separation from her mother, Tish Cyrus. The couple had been married for nearly 30 years and reportedly had problems in their relationship.

As they confirmed their divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences,” sources claimed that the singer “didn’t agree with some things that her father has done.” Things only got worse from there, and they even stopped talking to each other.

“There were words exchanged over what ­happened towards the end of Billy and Tish’s marriage,” a source told The Sun. The source also claimed that neither of them was ready to apologize or make amends. Family and friends expected that things would get better.

However, it only escalated after her father announced his engagement to the Australian singer Firerose.”There has been some tension with Miley,” a source claimed. The family still hopes that the father-daughter duo will soon resolve their issues.
