Hot: Taylor Swift had ꜰᴀᴋᴇ ᴘᴏʀɴ photos released, making fans angry

Taylor Swift’s ꜰᴀᴋᴇ ᴘᴏʀɴographic photos created with artificial intelligence (AI) are going viral on social media, causing the fan community to be upset because there are no legal regulations dealing with libelous images.

On Jan. 25, the New York Post reported that photos created using deepꜰᴀᴋᴇs — synthetic media that have been digitally manipulated to replace one person’s portrait with another’s — show Taylor Swift in various erotic poses during a Kansas City Chiefs game. follows the “Princess of Country Music’s” newly public romance with rugby player Travis Kelce.

It’s unclear who created the sensitive photos or who first shared them on Twitter. As of the morning of January 25 (US time), the keyword “Taylor Swift AI” has trended on the popular social networking site, with more than 58,000 posts.

This made Swifties (Taylor Swift fan community) upset when the idol was taken out as a pastime. They shared a series of posts calling for justice and protection of the Safe & Sound vocalist:

“How is this not called s3xual assault? We’re talking about a woman’s body/face being used for purposes she may never allow or feel comfortable with. Why is there no law to prevent this behavior?”

“When I saw the AI photos of Taylor Swift, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Those pictures are disgusting.”

“Protect Taylor Swift and stop sharing AI ᴘᴏʀɴographic photos. Those who make them are sick.”

Besides, some people said that Taylor Swift’s case, although wrong, partly awakens people to the downside of artificial intelligence.

“I think we should be glad that Taylor Swift has inadvertently brought the public’s attention to the danger posed by AI. It’s sad because it took a long time for people to care about this situation. Here are other stories: boys used deepfaces as ᴘᴏʀɴography for more than 30 girls at a New York high school; Marvel actress Xochitl Gomez (17) found 18+ photos of herself AI-generated on social media; streamer QTCinderella is upset that his AI ᴘᴏʀɴ photos are rampant on the Internet,” one user with a blue tick expressed.

The Daily Mail cited her own sources as saying Taylor Swift is reportedly considering legal action against the deepꜰᴀᴋᴇs website that created objectionable AI images of her.

In fact, the US government has begun to take concrete actions to prevent the use of AI for malicious purposes.

In October 2023, US President Joe Biden signed an executive order aimed at preventing AI from creating child s3xual abuse material or creating private images without the consent of real individuals. The order also requires the federal government to issue guidelines for blurring or attaching logos to AI creations.

Non-consensual deepꜰᴀᴋᴇ ᴘᴏʀɴography has been made illegal in Texas, Minnesota, New York, Hawaii and Georgia. However, the lack of a common legal framework for the entire United States led to the circulation of AI-generated nude images at high schools in New Jersey and Florida.

In mid-January, U.S. Reps. Joseph Morelle and Tom Kean proposed to the House Judiciary Committee a draft Act to Prevent Deepꜰᴀᴋᴇs of Intimate Images. The bill makes it a federal crime to baselessly share digitally edited ᴘᴏʀɴographic images, with possible penalties such as jail time, fines or both. In addition, if the bill is passed, victims are allowed to sue the offenders in civil court.
