The tallest child, in the middle of the back row, stands out because of his height. Just because he’s tall doesn’t mean he grows up to be a major celebrity right?
Sometimes the obvious choice is the right one. The legend played in the sport most notorious for having the tallest players.
So, which NBA legend is pictured below? Based on the year the photo was taken, one of a few names should come to mind.

Wilt Chamberlain is the tall child, pictured here outside Brooks Elementary School in Northwest Philadelphia.
Chamberlain is one of the greatest basketball players of all time and was an All-Star in 13 of his 14 seasons played.
In his iconic career, he spent six years with the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors, three with the Philadelphia 76ers and five with the LA Lakers.
The former center was a two-time NBA champion and was also named MVP on four separate occasions.
Outside of basketball, Chamberlain is famous for playing a villain in the film ‘Conan the Destroyer’ which also starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The photo of Chamberlain recently surfaced as part of Goldin’s December auction.
In a record-breaking sale, the incredible picture went for $17,080 as one of several sports photos flogged in the auction.
A 1960 of boxing legend Muhammad Ali sold for $19,520, while pictures of Michael Jordan and Babe Ruth also attracted buyers.
Chamberlain retired from the NBA in 1973 and passed away in 1999.
