Taylor Swift Keeps It Festive with ’87’ Santa Hat at Kansas City Chiefs Game on Christmas Day

The singer cheered on the team’s tight end Travis Kelce with her whole family by her side

Taylor Swift is bringing all her holiday cheer to the Chiefs’ Christmas Day game — and her signature sense of style.

The musician supported Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce as his team took on the Las Vegas Raiders at home Monday. Swift wore a black and gray plaid miniskirt, red sweater, black tights, her go-to black heeled loafers and a black bomber jacket (from bestie Gigi Hadid’s brand Guest in Residence).

She wore her hair pulled half up in a sweet black bow and showed off a pair of “T” earrings. Once she got into her suite, though, she capped off her look with a very festive Santa hat with an “87” on it — Kelce’s number.

Swift has proven her affinity for a plaid mini — she wore one to last week’s game against the New England Patriots as well. The plaid detail is the perfect way to combine all the Chiefs colors for the games, showing off the vibrant red with the balance of neutrals.

The “Lavender Haze” singer has worn a variety of pieces this season while supporting Kelce — everything from vintage sweatshirts to a cute beanie with her boyfriend’s jersey number. She’s even brought out custom bracelets on a occasion, made by a local Missouri brand.

Earlier this month, the superstar couple participated in a more typical holiday festivity as they celebrated at the holiday pop-up bar Miracle in Kansas City.

It’s been a whirlwind year for Swift and Kelce, with Swift embarking on the international Eras Tour and releasing a record-breaking concert film, while Kelce won a Super Bowl — not to mention the couple’s romance, which took the world by storm.

They first stirred up relationship rumors after Kelce attempted to give Swift his number at the Eras Tour in July. From there, fans hung onto every detail as the superstars’ relationship unfolded.
Swift confirmed the romance rumors by attending a Chiefs game on Sept. 24, her first of many game days. In Kelce’s private suite, Swift cheered alongside his family and friends.

“I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her — the friends and family,” Kelce said after her attendance. “She looked amazing and everybody was talking about her in great light.”

The pop superstar clarified the couple’s relationship timeline in her Time Person of the Year cover story, saying she started hanging out with Kelce right after he put her “on blast on his podcast” in July.

She added that at her first Chiefs game, things were already official:  “We were a couple.”

Swift attended more Chiefs games, sometimes bringing along her friends, and often cheering her tight-end beau on to victory.

“Football is awesome, it turns out,” Swift told Time. “I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

The attention catapulted the Kelce family, who were accustomed to sports stardom, to new levels of fame. Kelce’s mom Donna Kelce called it a “wild, wild ride” as the couple’s romance started to pick up in October. At the time, Kelce said he was “on top of the world.”

In Swift’s Time interview, she said the couple are intent on supporting each other.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she said.

In October, a source told PEOPLE that things were “quickly turning more serious” between the Grammy winner and football star.

“They share a strong work ethic and have a huge appreciation for life and their careers, strong family bond and values,” the source said.

In late November, another source told PEOPLE that Kelce’s friends think his relationship with Swift is the “real deal.”

“They’re still a little shocked by all of it — that he’s dating the Taylor Swift, but they’ve seen how down to earth she is with his friends and family,” the source said.
