David Spade Somehow Managed to Accidentally Buy Adam Sandler’s $9,000 Dinner

I have…many questions.

While appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, David Spade admitted to taking a recent practical joke a little too far. Of course, it all worked out pretty well in Adam Sandler’s favor. David *somewhat* accidentally picked up the Murder Mystery star’s $9,000 dinner tab.

…I don’t even have that much in my bank account.

When David found out Adam was dining at the same “fancy restaurant” as him, he decided to pay his old pal a quick visit and popped into the back room where he was dining. “So I go in there and do a few thirsty bits to get attention,” he says. “I’m like, ‘I’m your waiter,’ or whatever…everyone’s like, ‘Get lost.’”

Afterward, he decides to charge their bill to his card (probably for putting up with those dad jokes—sorry, David). “Adam always buys me dinner,” he continues. “He’s a nice guy, and his wallet’s about 10 feet tall.”

But here’s the thing: He sorta forgot to ask how much said bill was. “The next day, Identity Guard calls me and says, ‘Someone stole your card,’” David says. “‘There was some $9,000 dinner last night.’ I go, ‘That was me.’”

His excuse though? “I was buzzed.” LOL, whoops.

For David’s birthday, he’s just looking for someone else to pay him the same treatment. Earlier on in the segment, he admitted, “I try to invite anyone that’s rich [to dinner], because I just want somebody to buy ’cause I’m gonna eat and drink a lot.” Okay, fine, that’s relatable. ADMIT IT. “I call Chris Rock, and he goes, ‘I’m in Toronto.’ I go, ‘You can call in a credit card.’”
