NBA – “It’s a crime”:
Controversy broke out after Wembanyama’s match with Spurs!

Wembanyama was s:purn:ed by his teammates..

Gregg Popovich et Victor Wembanyama en interview pour les Spurs

Traveling to Chicago this Thursday evening, the Spurs lost again despite the return of Victor Wembanyama.

The Frenchman was limited in minutes, but above all completely forgotten by his teammates on multiple occasions.

The fans don’t understand… nor do the opposing team’s commentators.

Back on the field after an ankle injury, Victor Wembanyama played “only” 22 minutes this Thursday evening against the Bulls.

This partly explains his 7 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks, all with only 8 shots attempted.

The Frenchman did not try to force the game and yet, 5 players finished with at least 8 shots on their side. And that’s disturbing.

Wembanyama snubbed by his own teammates

Even if Wemby does not try to force shots, the Frenchman does what is necessary to try to stand out.

He makes the right moves and often finds himself alone, or with a size advantage in the paint to score.

Issue ? His teammates don’t see him, or refuse to pass the ball.

We were treated to plenty of examples against Chicago, to the point where even the opposing commentators can’t believe it.

“How do you miss a 2m24 guy?”

That 8 shots is criminal

Wembanyama is the No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft, and there’s a reason why. Spurs’ priority should be to give the player confidence, especially when he makes the effort, but his teammates still can’t find him when he is available.

It remains to be seen whether the Frenchman will speak out on this problem internally. For now, there are countless critiques on social media.

8 shots and still often snubbed by his own partners:

Victor Wembanyama has every reason to be frustrated after this match. The Spurs cannot do it and the defeats start to pile up again. Something needs to change in San Antonio.
