NBA – In San Antonio, LeBron reveals his crazy plan:
“At age 40, I will…
For his 21st season in the league, LeBron James amazed by managing to stay in the race for MVP thanks to his incredible performances. Therefore, he would still be far from retirement, as he suggested this Wednesday on the Spurs floor.
Despite his still intact ambition to play and win every match, he can no longer afford to string them together as he did before. As such, the back-to-back that the Lakers played over the last two days represented a certain threat to the health of LeBron James. Before the second meeting, against Spurs, he made it clear that his presence remained uncertain. Which was confirmed.
LeBron reveals his crazy plan for quarantine
Although he did indeed make the trip to San Antonio with his team, James was ultimately preserved on this occasion. It was therefore from the Purple&Gold bench that he notably witnessed the great performance of Victor Wembanyama, but above all the victory of his team (122-119). This, a few hours after having nevertheless carried out an… unusual warm-up, filmed by Hector Ledesma of ClutchPoints:

Used to working on his 3-point shot before each game, LeBron has however slightly modified his traditional routine. So, it was not his strong hand that he used to take his shots, but… his left. Quite surprisingly, he even proved to be quite adept in this configuration, which led him to imagine a rather lunar plan for the end of his career:
LeBron James: I’m going to play until I’m 40. After that, I’m only going to use my left hand until I’m 45. I will score 5,000 points with my left hand only. Once that’s done, I’ll stop everything!
With his 39th birthday fast approaching, the King’s right hand would only have to wait a few months before being abandoned for good.
To tell the truth, this ambition does not seem as far-fetched as it seems. After all, LBJ remains left-handed in everyday life, which obviously helps him handle the ball more easily with that hand. Not sure, however, that he really intends to postpone his retirement until age 45, let alone improve his career points record in this improbable way.
Obviously quite comfortable with his left hand on the floor, LeBron James would not be against imitating Larry Bird and using it exclusively. Not in a single match… but for five years. A new side quest unlocked for the King.
