Kendrick Lamar has lived in Manhattan Beach, an affluent coastal enclave in L.A.’s South Bay, while he’s not touring the world. Last year’s “Dɑmn” tour grossed over $62 miℓℓio𝚗. The Pulitzer Prize- and 13-time Grammy Award-winning rapper bought a sleek, brand-new home in an off-market deal for just over $9.7 miℓℓio𝚗.

The property was never posted for sale, thus specs and interior images are scarce. However, Powers Development, a local luxury homebuilder, built the new mansion, so it likely has a designer kitchen, a resort-style master hideaway, and at least one or two wet bars.

The 5,350-square-foot modern house features four bedrooms and seven full bathrooms, according to public records. The three-story house takes up practically the entire property, typical for this densely packed coastal community, and while it’s not oceanfront, the uppermost level has a large open-air terrace with sunset water views.

The glassy house has a three-car garage, a small front yard with a terrace, and floor-to-ceiling glass. With a beautiful sandy beach just a short walk away, an in-ground swimming pool would be overkill.

Lamar’s new house is next door to Ryan Miller’s contemporary estate in Manhattan Beach, a laid-back, close-knit enclave with several professional athletes. Blake Griffin, Maria Sharapova, Luke Walton, and Zooey Deschanel live nearby.

The hip-hop tycoon is no stranger to real estate. In 2013, Lamar paid $523,400 cash for an unremarkable house in Eastvale, Riverside County, about an hour east of Los Angeles. In late 2017, he paid $2.65 miℓℓio𝚗 for a huge house in a guard-gated Calabasas, Calif. enclave, where his mother, younger sister, and other family members live.
