Celtics news: Jaylen Brown’s unfinished takeover of Boston will scare the NBA: It’s surprising that..

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown believes his team is still going to get better even though they have the best record in the NBA.
Despite missing two starters and having a horrendous shooting night from three, the Boston Celtics still managed to take down the Atlanta Hawks, 113-103 on Sunday.
Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 34 points, while Jaylen Brown added 21 points as Boston moved to 13-4 on the season. After the game, Brown spoke about how, even though they hold the best record in the league, the Celtics are still an unfinished product.
Jaylen Brown on the Celtics' different style this year:
"Definitely a different style. Different team. Obviously, we were out two of our big dogs in Jrue and KP… All of us have been adjusting and figuring out what this team needs to win… We've still been figuring it out, but…

Scary hours for the NBA, indeed. With all the talent on the Celtics, it’s easy to forget that they underwent a ton of changes in the offseason. They brought in Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday in the summer, while letting go of Malcolm Brogdon, Marcus Smart, Robert Williams, and Grant Williams.
It’s astonishing to see just how much quickly Boston has gelled despite the change in personnel.
Brown added that most of their success is in large part due to their defense.
Jaylen Brown on how the Celtics win when they don't shoot the three-ball well (27.7% 3PT vs. Hawks tonight):
"I think defense is one. I think this team, Atlanta, they came in against us hot in terms of one of the top teams in the league scoring the ball… Tonight, we held them…

Atlanta entered Sunday night’s clash averaging 145 points over its last three games. The Celtics held them to just 103 points on 40.9 percent shooting despite making just 27.7 percent from beyond the arc. Brown and Tatum combined for 7-of-20 from three on Sunday, while Al Horford and Derrick White went 0-of-11 together.
Boston also had nine steals and forced Atlanta to commit 15 turnovers.
Porzingis has already been ruled out for at least a week due to left calf tightness. Meanwhile, Holiday has missed the Celtics’ last two games due to a right ankle sprain.
Up next on the docket for Boston will be its final In-Season Tournament game versus the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.
