England beat the Netherlands 2-1 to book their spot in Sunday’s final.
England fans are demanding that three players must start the Euro 2024 final against Spain on Sunday.
The Three Lions defeated the Netherlands 2-1 in dramatic fashion in the semi-final, with Ollie Watkins’ stunning strike from angling into the bottom left corner beyond goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.
Watkins’ intervention came in just his second appearance off the tournament – and he made the absolute most of his opportunity in Dortmund.
England went behind early on through Xavi Simons’ long-distance strike, but a Harry Kane penalty restored parity on 18 minutes.
While the Three Lions dominated the first half, they had to absorb Dutch pressure in the second half and then struck when it mattered the most.
Phil Foden and Kobbie Mainoo were both outstanding on the night, while Watkins’ moment will write his name into the England history books, whatever the outcome on Sunday.
And fans are demanding that Watkins, as well as fellow substitutes Cole Palmer and Luke Shaw, have to start the Euro 2024 final.
One fan wrote: “I don’t care who goes to the bench, Cole Palmer must start the Euro 2024 final.”

A second added: “This is why Cole Palmer deserved his place at the Euros and why he should start the final.”
A third, meanwhile, said of Watkins: “Ollie Watkins is what every single English fan has been crying out for all tournament. And he simply has to start the final.”
A fourth said: “Start Watkins in the final I have seen enough.”
On Shaw, a fifth fan stated: “Shaw will have to start the final. I know he’s not 100 per cent but he’s their best bet.”
And a sixth wrote: “We NEED to start Watkins and Shaw in the final. Difference makers hungry for their chance deserve to be rewarded for their shifts.”
