The England international is being strongly linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.
Anthony Gordon has already told Liverpool fans what they want to hear as he continues to be linked with a move to Anfield.
Liverpool have expressed an interest in signing the Newcastle United winger, with the Magpies needing to sell players before June 30 to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
So far, the club have struggled to get any deals over the line ahead of Sunday’s deadline but according to reports, Newcastle were open to a potential swap deal involving Gordon and Jarell Quansah.

However, the Daily Mail suggest Liverpool turned down their proposal as they have no intention of parting ways with Quansah – a player they see as a future England international.
There is a chance talks could be revived between both clubs.

Having grown up in the city, the former Everton man is believed to be a boyhood Liverpool supporter. In fact, club legend Steven Gerrard was his idol as a kid.
Speaking on The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, Gordon said: “Steven Gerrard was my football hero growing up. Coming from Liverpool, he was like a God in Liverpool, and he was unbelievable player.”
Gordon also opened up on his admiration for Mohamed Salah in the interview. “Some footballers like to think less, just turn up and play and trust their instincts,” he added.
“I just love the mindset of getting myself in that place before I’m already there. I saw Mo Salah talk about it – that’s where I took even more interest, because I see him as an absolute machine and a winner. People like that, you’re not going to go too far wrong following what they do.”

Gordon, who also said Anfield is “by far” the best atmosphere in the Premier League alongside St James’ Park, named Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones as one of his best mates in football.

“I’d say I’ve got three,” he said when asked to name his best friends in the game. “Curtis Jones, Tommy Doyle, Elliot Anderson. Mixed bag there. Some club, some international.”
