England will face Spain on Sunday evening.
England’s team news for the Euro 2024 final has been ‘leaked’, with Gareth Southgate making one huge call.
On Sunday evening England will take on Spain at Berlin’s Olympiastadion in the final of Euro 2024.
Gareth Southgate’s side are appearing in a second successive European Championship final after losing to Italy on penalties in 2021.
In their first major final on foreign soil, England’s men’s team are looking to win a tournament for the first time since 1966.
Few would have predicted that England would get this far, after they won just one of their group matches and were a minute away from elimination in the round-of-16 at the hands of Slovakia.
Yet Southgate’s side showed their resilience with a penalty shootout victory against Switzerland, before they played their best football of the tournament in the first half of their semi-final defeat of the Netherlands.
With that performance in mind, Southgate has reportedly decided to name an unchanged team for Sunday’s final.
According to Mail Sport, Kieran Trippier will keep his place at left wing-back despite being substituted at half-time against the Dutch with a suspected groin problem.
There have been plenty of calls for his replacement, Luke Shaw, to start the final, as the left-footed defender gives England more width in attack.

Perhaps wisely, Southgate looks set to trust Trippier to cope with Spain’s in-form winger Lamine Yamal. Given that the 16-year-old likes to cut inside, it could be an advantage to have a right-footed defender on the left side of defence.
Speaking ahead of the final, Southgate urged his players to go and achieve their dreams
“I don’t believe in fairytales but I am a believer in dreams and we have big dreams but you have to make those things happen,” he said.
“The run we have had, late goals, penalties but that doesn’t equate to us making it happen. We have to perform.
“When you try to create dreams you need a vision to go with that. That lights a small fire. We know what it would mean (to win).
“We have to get this trophy to get the respect of the rest of the football world.”
Expected England line-up vs Spain: Pickford; Walker, Stones, Guehi; Saka, Mainoo, Rice, Trippier; Foden, Bellingham; Kane.
