Travis Kelce said he is spending Thanksgiving alone, eating fast food – with girlfriend Taylor Swift in Brazil on her Eras tour.

In the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, his brother Jason was talking through the holiday NFL games to watch on television when Travis made the admission.

‘Good luck to them. I’ll be feasting on KFC because I won’t have anybody here,’ he said.

Jason replied asking about Kumar Ferguson, Travis’s personal chef.

‘You don’t have anybody in there cooking turkey? What’s Kumar doing?’ he said.

‘I don’t know. He might be going back to hang out with his family,’ Travis replied.

Jason then extended an offer for his brother to fly to Philadelphia and join him for dinner.

‘If you want to make a quick trip, you’re welcome at the house, man,’ he said. ‘We’ll have plenty of food.’

It might be difficult for Travis to make the journey to his brother, though, given that he and the Chiefs have to prepare to play the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

Taylor, meanwhile, is currently in Brazil for her Eras Tour. After playing three dates in Rio de Janeiro last weekend, she is now heading to Sao Paolo for three more shows.

The brothers opened up on how Thanksgiving is impacted by the football season – with Jason twice playing for the Eagles on the day itself in previous seasons.

‘You haven’t played on Thanksgiving? I think we have done it twice. It sucks,’ Jason said. ‘You don’t get to eat food with your family.’

‘I don’t ever remember having Thanksgiving like we did when we were kids,’ Travis said. ‘Every single Thanksgiving, we always have practice in the morning.’

Fans were quick to comment on the YouTube broadcast calling for someone to save Travis from a lonely celebration this time around.

‘Travis alone during thanksgiving, my Swiftie heart can’t bear that,’ said one fan.

Another said: ‘Someone in Kansas City has to invite Travis for Thanksgiving dinner – he cannot be alone!’

There had been suggestions they were planning to spend Thanksgiving together with both of their families but it appears those plans have been postponed with Taylor’s tour dates.

Her parents were at one stage anticipated to be at the Chiefs game on Monday night against the Eagles – Swift’s father, Scott, is a Philadelphia fan as well as the fact Travis’s brother plays for them.

It would have been the first time that the respective parents have met each other but Travis has met Taylor’s father, Scott and she has met Travis’s mom and Dad, Donna and Ed.

Recently, during the bye week for the Chiefs, Kelce headed to Buenos Aires and stood alongside Scott to see an Eras show.

Swift has met Travis’s mom, Donna, on multiple occasions as well as his father, Ed

But Taylor had to postpone one of her three Rio dates due to extreme heat, meaning that Monday night became showtime for her and removed any possibility of her flying back for the game.

Swift is playing three straight dates from Friday to Sunday before then being finished with touring for the rest of the year.

Ironically, for Christmas Day it will likely be Taylor celebrating without Travis because the Chiefs play the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead in Kansas City on December 25.

If the Chiefs make the Super Bowl on February 11, Swift will have around 36 hours to fly back to the United States for the game in Las Vegas from her tour dates in Tokyo, Japan.
