Miley Cyrus has opened up about why she doesn’t enjoy touring, stating that it’s not healthy for her.

In a series of videos on her TikTok account, Cyrus explained that although performing is only 90 minutes, it becomes her entire life when she is touring, which can be detrimental to her mental health. She also mentioned that the ego required to perform at an excellent level every night is difficult to turn off, and the relationship between her and others becomes subject and observer, which erases her humanity and connection, making it impossible for her to write songs.

Cyrus previously stated that touring isn’t something she desires and that performing is isolating because even if you’re in front of thousands of people, you are still alone.
