Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce revealed he met his now-wife Kylie on Tinder during the latest of his podcast. 

Jason, 35, and his wife Kylie, 31, a Philadelphia native, tied the knot in April 2018 after starting dating in 2015.

However, the couple met in a slightly surprising way after they matched on dating app Tinder with Kylie revealing Jason’s profile was in touch with his sensitive side.

‘His profile at the time was something along the lines of, “I want to have deep meaningful conversations and talk about getting married and having kids,”‘ she said on the latest episode of Jason’s New Heights podcast with his brother Travis.

‘Jokes on him, who got the last laugh,’ she jokingly added, referring to the couple’s brood.

Jason and Kylie share three daughters Wyatt, 3, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, who they welcomed shortly after the Super Bowl in February.

However, Kylie revealed their relationship didn’t get off to the best of starts with Jason falling asleep on their first date.

‘He fell asleep 45 minutes after I got there on the bar table,’ she said. ‘Because he was too drunk and then Bo Allen accomplished the most accomplished physical feat of his life when he fireman carried back to his apartment.’

Jason admitted to his first date faux pas but still insisted that, for him at least, it was love at first date.

‘Definitely fell asleep,’ he said. ‘Got a little too inebriated but I was sober enough to know it was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. It was love at first sight.

‘[…] I didn’t until I met you and it was like fireworks exploded the moment she walked through the door. It was like Twilight when the vampires go into the sunlight.

‘Second date went much better, I didn’t blackout or fall asleep.’

Meanwhile, Kylie had a slightly different first impression of her husband-to-be, saying: ‘I saw him and he was wearing plaid and I thought “you’re really leaning into the lumberjack thing.”

Jason and the Eagles will open their NFL season against the New England Patriots on Sunday September 10 as they look to make it all the way to the Super Bowl for a second season running.
