“Miley Cyrus Takes a Break from Touring Despite New Album’s Success”

During a recent interview with Vogue UK, Miley Cyrus stated that she has no plans to go on tour anytime soon. The 30-year-old American singer explained that she does not want to do anything to please others or to seek their approval. After her last tour in 2014, Cyrus asked herself whether she wanted to live her life for her own happiness and satisfaction or for the approval of others.

Miley Cyrus embarked on a global tour to promote her 2013 album, Bangerz, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The tour covered North America, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, and Australia. However, after the tour, Cyrus only performed solo shows and played at various music festivals including Glastonbury, Austin City Limits, and Lollapalooza.

In an interview with Vogue UK, singer Flowers revealed that Cyrus prefers performing for close friends and loved ones rather than large arenas. Cyrus herself stated that singing for hundreds of thousands of people is not something she loves because it lacks connection, safety, and feels unnatural. It can also be isolating because when you’re standing in front of 100,000 people, you’re still alone.

On Tuesday, May 16th, Cyrus released the music video for “Jaded,” the third single from her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, released in March. Her first single, “Flowers,” spent eight weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the fastest song to reach one billion streams in Spotify history.
