According to People, the song Used To Be Young (When I was Young) released on August 25 is a milestone marking the maturity of the 30-year-old singer’s career. On social network X, the former Disney star said she was past her “wild” life but was always proud of that “crazy” period. The chorus of Used To Be Young has the line: “I know I used to be crazy. I know I used to be happy. You said I used to be wild. I said I used to be young.”

Miley spent 18 months recreating the picture of her life in the song. “The release of Used To Be Young makes me extremely happy. The song is complete, but I believe the story in it will continue to be written every day,” she said. The singer then also posted a series of videos on TikTok called “Untold Stories”, with the message of healthy, positive living.
In May, Miley also affirmed her new lifestyle when she interviewed with British Vogue: “When I turned 30, I no longer wanted to create temporary attention. I used to be like that just because I was trying to escape the huge shadow of character Hannah Montana”.

After breaking up with her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in 2019, she chose to focus on her career and inspire women to love themselves. In March, she released the song Flowers with the message that women can be at peace. freedom when searching for happiness: “You can dance alone and hold your own hand. Yes, you can love yourself more than me.”
