Travis Kelce’s musical debut is here!
The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs star lent his vocal talents to A Philly Special Christmas, the Philadelphia Eagles’ musical trio’s sophomore Christmas album.
Available on Dec. 1, the album features holiday classics sung by Travis’s brother Jason Kelce and his Eagles teammates Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson.
Jason, 36, enlisted Travis for the album’s song “Fairytale of Philadelphia,” which allowed the NFL stars to embrace their brotherly love, Philadelphia style.
Travis’s verse included playful jabs at Jason, like calling him a “phony” and an “a–” and hoping for “this Christmas to be our last” in the song.
During a recent episode of the brothers’ weekly podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Mailata joined the show to talk about making the album.
And when Jason compared Travis’s voice to Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger’s, the guys thought it was a pretty spot-on comparison.
“Dude, I do not want to hear myself sing like that. I’ve got more of the rock voice,” Travis explained, admitting he still hadn’t listened to the final version of the song before it was officially released.
Along with Travis, singer Patti LaBelle is a guest feature on A Philly Special Christmas Special.
During his appearance on New Heights, Mailata said it was “nerve-wracking” to sing “in front of a great” like LaBelle.
The Eagles tackle also shared some insight into the making of the album. “We got to see the creation of the songs more this year than we did last year, and I’m going to take that with me forever,” Mailata said.
Jason agreed, adding, “I’m right there with you, and I think that me, you and Lane get put on the face of the album, but there are so many musicians.”
“It’s really fun watching that go from nothing to something,” Jason added.

Mailata has been singing since he was young, and in an interview with ABC 6 last month, he said, “Music was my first love before sports.”
Jason told listeners that Mailata is “very talented” musically, and has even “been teaching himself banjo in the locker room” this season.
Travis gave the album rave reviews on the episode and said it was “really unique and really cool” to watch the project come to life. “Hats off to you guys,” he added.
