After Jason Kelce made the shocking admission that he once ditched his wife Kylie Kelce in the middle of the ocean during a shark attack, Kylie was given the chance to air her grievances.

On Friday’s special edition of their New Heights podcast, Jason and brother Travis Kelce welcomed Kylie to the show, where she was asked how it felt being left out in shark-infested waters while paddle boarding during a Hawaiian vacation, which Jason detailed during a New Heights episode last month.

“I turn around and it was the fastest I’ve ever seen this man move,” Kylie said of the ordeal. “I was like, ‘Oh, look at him go.’ All I said to him was, ‘Are you done?’ and he was like, ‘Mmm hmm.'”

A shocked Travis responded, “That’s what you gave her?!”

Jason, once again, attempted to justify his behavior on the fateful day.

“Well, she was so far away from me it was hard to hear what she said,” Jason asserted. “She was so far away from the shark.”

Kylie, unsurprisingly, wasn’t having it.

“Travis, he had to paddle past me to get to the shore,” she told her brother-in-law. “He had to paddle past me! And he didn’t say anything.”

The shark attack debacle wasn’t the only time Jason has left his wife high-and-dry, as he also recently told the story of leaving Kylie alone at the top of a mountain on a skiing trip.

When asked by Travis which instance was worse, Kylie didn’t hesitate.

“I feel like him not mentioning that there was a shark when he was on his way past me is a little bit worse,” she said, “because it is an imminent threat to my life.”

Kylie even had an analogy to explain why her husband’s behavior was so upsetting.

“Have you ever heard how you get away from a bear?” she asked. “You just have to be faster than the slowest person. I was his slowest person.”

Episodes of New Heights drop every Wednesday during the NFL season.
