After losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl last year, veteran center Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles was seriously considering retirement, as he felt his time in the NFL had potentially run its course, and it was time to focus on his family.

Ultimately, Kelce decided to go in the other direction, which was showcased in his Amazon documentary, where he decided he could still play and wanted to give it at least one more year on the professional level before calling it a career.

With the Eagles falling apart in the second half of the NFL regular season, the team will limp into the playoffs without much hope that this team can reach the Super Bowl for a second straight year.

That said, Kelce is in the same place he was last year, with the 36-year-old facing the possibility of playing his last game on Monday on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kelce addressed questions about his immediate future on Friday and didn’t exactly say he will retire, but he definitely seems like someone who might be content with stepping away soon, via NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Even though the Eagles will be playing on the road on Monday, Philadelphia is the favorite to win against Tampa Bay at Raymond James Stadium, which means the team might have some life left in it this year.

However, the Eagles have been one of the worst teams in the league in the second half of the season, and there’s no telling what team will show up on Monday with the season on the line.
