The brothers revealed that it “feels weird” to have a majority of the focus placed solely on them

They may have become household names as of late, but Jason and Travis Kelce are making it known that they aren’t fans of being the sole focus of attention when they’re playing football with their respective NFL teams.
In a new bonus episode of their joint podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce (Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment), the two athletes discussed their teams’ upcoming face-off on Monday. In a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl, Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs will play Jason and the Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.
Despite the fanfare surrounding the game and the prospect of seeing the brothers go head-to-head, the two shared during the bonus episode that they don’t like all of the game’s focus being on them.

“I feel bad because it gets played into a lot about us and not so much our teammates who are also playing the game,” Jason shared. “I think that’s why from the outside perspective, I wish — it always feels weird when that is the main part of the headline because there are so many other guys out there with us who are also playing.”
Travis kept his response short, agreeing with his brother by saying “Hell yeah.”
Elsewhere in the bonus episode, Travis gave his brother, and the Eagles, kudos.
“I just love competing against the best, man, and Big Play Slay, Byard… you got some dogs, outside of just the front line,” he said, complimenting the team’s roster.
“Hopefully we can beat the Chiefs for the first time in my entire career,” Jason joked in response — his four previous times playing Kansas City, including the Super Bowl, ended in losses.
“I really don’t think about it as a Super Bowl rematch,” Travis commented. “I think of this as the Kansas City Chiefs vs the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023. Both teams are different than they were last year, no matter how similar they are, it’s never the same. I think about it like — this doesn’t have much bearing from what happened a year ago. Well, not even a year ago I guess at this point.”
