Thor surfs…and he throws down hammers, offscreen, too.

Chris Hemsworth, who plays the Norse god Thor in the Marvel movies, recently visited Alaïa Bay, the Wavegarden-powered wavepool at the foot of the Swiss alps.

And he shared some clips from the trip; check ‘em out below:

Captioning the post, Hemsworth wrote:

“Got to surf the wave pool in Switzerland with the family last week. Such an amazing trip. To be able to surf in a pool with snow cap mountains as the back drop was pretty awesome!”

It’s not the first time we’ve seen, or heard about, Hemsworth and his love for surfing.

A while back, he shared a tandem wake surf session with Kelly Slater at home in Australia. Yeah, turns out Thor and the GOAT are surf buddies.

And more recently, Hemsworth talked with GQ about his lifelong passion for surfing:

“I’ve always loved surfing,” he said. “It’s one of the few things that holds my attention completely and in its entirety.”

“There’s a cleansing every time I get in the water. If I’m having some sort of inner conflict or turmoil, it’s the one place I go. There’s a feeling of starting again.”

“It was all I thought about the entire week. I didn’t really have much of a social life during high school. I wasn’t really going out to parties. All I wanted to do was surf and watch movies. It kept me out of trouble, I think.”
