Good news, Eagles fans.
Former NFL star receiver Chad Johnson is convinced the team is “playing possum” as it stumbled to the finish line ahead of the NFL playoffs.
The Eagles lost five of their final six games, including back-to-back defeats to the woeful Cardinals and Giants to end the season.
“I am excited to go to Philly,” Johnson said in the video posted to X on Monday afternoon as he was preparing to fly to Philadelphia to shoot “Inside the NFL,” which is filmed in New Jersey.
“I hope it’s snowing, too. I know Eagles fans, y’all are upset, I think they are going to fix it. I think the Eagles players are playing possum. I know what they are doing: They are letting their bodies reset, their minds to mentally reset and watch what happens come playoff time, watch what happens next week, watch what I tell you. I tell you no lie. I like for you before I lie to you. Watch what them boys do. I knew it, I am familiar with their game. I know what they are doing.”

If that has been the Eagles plan, they are executing it to perfection.
The defending NFC champs have looked among the worst teams in the NFL the past two weeks.
In the 35-31 home loss to the Cardinals in Week 17, the Eagles were outgained, 449-275.
In the season finale against the Giants — a rival they have dominated in recent seasons — the Eagles were outclassed from the kickoff even as they still had a slim chance to claim the NFC East title.
The Giants were up 24-0 at halftime before the Eagles started pulling their starters and the 27-10 final was not indicative of how one-sided the game was.
So, what does Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowler for the Bengals, see in the Eagles?
Well, they are the defending NFC champions and are relatively healthy as A.J. Brown seemed to avoid what would have been a catastrophic knee injury against the Giants.
Jalen Hurts is still one of the top young quarterbacks in the game.
This is a team that pulled off consecutive wins against the Cowboys, Chiefs and Bills to improve to 10-1 before the season went off the rails.
And as the No. 5 seed, they open against the NFC South champion Buccaneers, who barely topped the worst division in football — slinking past the NFL-worst Panthers, 9-0, in Week 18 to secure the crown.
Still, it’s full-on panic mode in Philadelphia.

“It f–king sucks the way we’ve played the last 6 games,” Eagles center Jason Kelce said after the loss to the Giants, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia.
“All you can do is look in the mirror and go back to work. I know people get tired of hearing that. The only thing you can do is go back to work and have honest discussions”
