A dog was miraculously saved after a 60ft fall from a cliff edge by a passing paddleboarder.
Floyd the Cavapoo went over the cliff after straying from a coastal path but was spotted by the paddleboarder who was enjoying the water.
Floyd was found shaken and injured on the beach, but the pup was placed aboard the paddleboard and taken to a RNLI lifeboat.
The rescue happened at Box Bay, near Stackpole in Pembrokeshire, and Floyd has been reunited with his owner and recovering at home.
RNLI volunteer Rob Garland, 45, said: ‘Our main concern was the dog but also the owner out of the fear that they might scale down the cliff to save him.

‘We were very grateful to the kayaker, we just kept the dog still and calm.
‘Floyd has suffered pelvic injuries but the prognosis is very good.’
Rob said this was not the first incident at the cliffs and reminded owners to be careful while walking their dogs.
‘We had a small spaniel that went over and died as a result of the fall a couple of years ago,’ he said.
‘It is one of those freak incidents but we always remind people to use leads when walking along the cliffs.’
Rob said that the RNLI ‘will never blame the owner’ but that sometimes ‘these things happen’.
He added: ‘Nobody set out for this to happen and the dog is very well looked after.
‘It is just one of those things and the most important thing is that Floyd is alive and well.’

In June, another dog named Button narrowly avoided death after falling from an 150ft cliff.
The incident happened near Thornwick Bay Holiday Park in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
Sandra Costin was walking Button off a lead when the pooch plunged over the edge, sparking a huge rescue effort.
The dog suffered no injuries during the incident but Ms Costin said her pet was ‘dazed’.
Coastguards issued ‘stern safety advice regarding keeping dogs on leads around cliffs’ after a series of rescues over the past couple of months.
These include a terrier dog named Rebel had a miracle escape in Dorset when he fell off a 100ft cliff, landed in the sea and then walked a mile to a beach to be rescued yesterday.
And a French bulldog was rescued by two paddleboarders after she became stranded on a sandbank 328ft out to sea in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire.
