Usher has taken the time out to give Dr. Dre his well-deserved flowers during a recent show as part of his Las Vegas Residency.

The legendary producer attended one of the R&B hitmaker’s recent shows when he paused to give a huge salute to Dre.

“An amazing contributor to this music industry,” Usher said. “For all the artists that he has broken, as well as the amazing artist that he is. Ladies and gentleman, put your hands together for the one, the only, Dr. Dre.”

As both artists embraced each other, Usher had his band play a slew of his biggest hits he produced, including “Forgot about Dre,” “Still D.R.E.,” and “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang,” to name a few.

Usher held his own throughout all the records on the lyrical side of things, as Dre received nothing but love from the sold-out crowd.

This is not the first time the Confessions crooner has shown love to his special guests. Back in March, Queen Latifah was literally given her flowers while attending a past show of his at the Dolby Live at Park MGM.

On that same night, the New Jersey rap legend turned 53rd. Latifah received a birthday gift in front of thousands of fans as Usher made his way into the audience and gave her a hug, as seen in a video posted on his Instagram Stories.

The Native Tongues member could be seen holding a bouquet of roses as her 1993 hit “U.N.I.T.Y.” played throughout the venue’s speakers. The audience cheered the embrace, with Latifah thanking the crowd for their warm reception.

Although Mr. Raymond has no problem celebrating others, he himself has had a lot to celebrate as of late. Last month, it was announced that he would be headlining next year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The news was made public by the NFL and Apple Music, the halftime show’s presenting partner, with Usher himself sharing a statement expressing his excitement for the performance of a lifetime.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” he said. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

JAY-Z — who’s helping to produce the halftime show in his role as the NFL’s live music entertainment strategist — also spoke about Usher’s forthcoming performance, which will be held on February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman,” he said. “Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul. His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”
