LeBron James and his son Bronny endured very different nights on the basketball court on Wednesday.
LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers lost for the ninth time in their last 12 games as they went down 110-96 against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.
It was made even worse by the fact Miami was without Jimmy Butler for the sixth time in seven games because of irritation in his right foot.
LeBron was held to 12 points on 6-of-18 shooting for Los Angeles but added nine assists.
Anthony Davis scored 29 points with 17 rebounds and Austin Reaves added 24 points as the Lakers lost their third consecutive game as they continue to struggle after winning the NBA in-season tournament last month.

Since defeating the Indiana Pacers in that title game, Los Angeles is 3-9 since December 12.
The Lakers’ latest disastrous performance led to Doc Rivers speculating about the future of Lakers coach Darvin Ham.
The former Clippers and 76ers coach said on ESPN: ‘Darvin Ham is in danger of losing his job. This Lakers team looks checked out.’
Skip Bayless also tore into James and the Lakers. He posted on X: ‘Good Lord, Bron, you just let your team get outscored 38-29 in the 4th to lose by 14 to the Heat without Jimmy Butler!
‘You lost to Duncan Robinson, who looks like a high-school algebra teacher!
‘You were 0-6 from 3, inspiring your team to shoot 13% from 3. Your team is now 17-18!’

Meanwhile, less than three miles across Los Angeles, Bronny’s fine return to the USC team continued as they claimed an 82-74 victory over Cal.
Bronny, who suffered a cardiac arrest in July, wound up with 10 points as USC increased its winning streak over the Golden Bears to 11 games.
That included an outrageous alley-oop dunk as he connected with team-mate – and potential No. 1 NBA draft pick – Isaiah Collier.
Collier stole the ball and dribbled down the court, laying up a perfect pass for Bronny to put away as the crowd went wild.
He also made two free throws with 2.7 seconds left to seal the win.
