When host Andy Cohen asked Julia Roberts on the 7 December episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen“What is the hardest drug you’ve ever tried?” The star replied hesitantly, “Mushrooms.” Cohen then asked her if she had a “positive experience” with it. Roberts then nodded and replied, laughing, “It was nice. Yeah, not gonna lie. Kids, don’t try it at home.”

When Roberts canceled her wedding with The Lost Boys star, she was hospitalized for five days. It’s because she was battling the flu at that time. Her hospitalization has caused rumors that she “had a problem with drugs.” The actress told Entertainment Weekly in 1991:

“This started, I can only assume, because I was so thin. And it’s just absurd, you know. I don’t know how anybody who would do drugs could function. I don’t — nor have I ever done drugs — and I guess it’s boring to be sort of a young actor in Hollywood and not have a drug problem. Well, then, I’m boring, and that’s cool with me, because I’ve got clear skin and clean arms, and I’m just thin. Period. The end. Quit picking on me, you know.”

The Pretty Woman star admitted that she never did “any drugs.” And even called the rumors “absurd and frustrating.” The Hollywood actress actively engages in open conversations about drugs and alcohol with her family, including her husband, Danny Moder, and their children, 19-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, and 16-year-old son Henry.
