“My parents worked so hard just to provide and I had a lot of time to myself and most of that time I spent running around the streets getting a street education.

I left school at an early age, I quit school at 13, ended up getting into a lot of trouble being incarcerated tried as an adult at 16-17 and that was a big wake-up call for me Father. So I decided you know what I needed to turn my life around…

He started to realize the enormity of his sins and decided that it was high time for him to change his course of life saying,

“…when I heard the jail doors close behind me, I started praying right away. But I knew that was just the beginning for me because I knew I really wanted to turn my life around and I made a commitment at that day”

Mark Wahlberg’s story is a perfect case of individuals who made the best out of a second chance at life that has been given to them, similar to how Robert Downey Jr. turned his life from drugs to a successful respected life as an actor in Hollywood.

Wahlberg had no proper guidance or an inspiring figure that would have guided him to a life of honor and integrity. Thus he was all alone, out in the streets of Boston where drugs, racism, and crime were highly rampant.

By realizing his mistakes and surrendering to God, he has worked hard to change the rough image of his youth and focused on his career and living a life of respect and integrity.

He has time and again expressed his regrets regarding the harm that he had caused in the past and hopes to make amends and asks for forgiveness from every person that he mistreated and physically abused during his tumultuous years.
