After Tom Holland literally manifested his dream to appear in Uncharted and turned the video game-based movie into a blockbuster, the film producer gave a thumbs up to its sequel.
Sending the internet into a frenzy over the news of the highly appreciated movie’s sequel, producer Charles Roven confirmed the possibility of bringing back Holland as Nathan Drake.

Tom Holland‘s infamous journey as MCU’s web-slinger landed him several acclaimed roles in the entertainment industry. Gaining fame from his SpiderMan movies, the actor set foot into Ruben Fleischer’s video game adaptation, Uncharted, in 2022.

Appearing as the rugged treasure hunter Nathan Drake, alongside the Transformers actor Mark Wahlberg, Holland turned the movie into a blockbuster.
Despite being released amid the outbreak of the COVID pandemic, the movie made a staggering $407M at the box office with fairly mixed reviews.

Similar to the action-adventure video game, the 2022 movie portrayed Nathan Drake as the protagonist.
However, it mostly delivered an original story about Drake seeking lost treasure from Ferdinand Magellan’s famous expedition around the world while lifting some epic fight scenes from games like Uncharted 3 and Uncharted 4.

A year later, reminiscing about the success of Ruben Fleischer‘s 2022 video game adaptation Uncharted, producer Charles Roven discussed the possibility of a sequel.
Teasing fans’ demands and sparking hope among the audience, the film producer spoke about his plans for a second installment, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Asked about his interest in an Uncharted sequel, Charles Roven was quick to admit having thought about the possibility.
Reflecting upon the impressive box office run, especially during the unstable time of the pandemic, Roven mentioned, “We had a really good time with that movie.”

“The fans really liked the movie, and people who didn’t know anything about the game really liked the movie. So we are definitely looking to make another one of those.”
