The 76-year-old filmmaker, Steven Spielberg had to work in two projects, Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List in the early 1990s. Given that he had a lot on his plate, working on both projects simultaneously led him to build resentment and anger, which was reflected in the dino-flick.

At the Tribeca Film Festival’s 25th anniversary screening via EW, the director mentioned was in conflict over his projects since he had to film the Holocaust film during winter in Poland meanwhile he was already engaged with the dino flick.

By the time he assembled the cast for the epic-historical drama, he was deeply involved with the first movie. He mentioned,
“When I finally started shooting…in Poland, I had to go home about two or three times a week and get on a very crude satellite feed to Northern California…to be able to approve T-Rex shots.”
He continued,
“And it built a tremendous amount of resentment and anger that I had to do this, that I had to actually go from [the emotional weight of Schindler’s List] to dinosaurs chasing jeeps, and all I could express was how angry that made me at the time.”
Working on both the projects at the same time took a great toll on him but he eventually let that “burden” go after both the films became a massive success.
