Megan Fox revealed she is releasing a book of poetry, titled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, which she says was written as a result of a lifetime of carrying men’s transgressions in her body.

Megan Fox has found her next role: author.

The 37-year-old announced she is releasing a book of poetry called Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, sharing an image of the front cover which depicts a mouth biting a snake on Instagram August 8. And while reflecting on the healing process of writing, she explained what the collection means to her.

“These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence,” Megan wrote over a red background. “I’ve spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins.”

And of what she hopes the book will bring its readers, the Jennifer’s Body actress noted, “My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity buy using their voice to illuminate what’s been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness.”

She captioned her post, “I wrote a book,” alongside a broken heart emoji, sharing the book is currently available for preorder before its November 7 release date.
