Apart from being an action star and one of the highest-paid actors in the world, Mark Wahlberg is known for his shredded physique. The actor’s muscular body has been shown in all its glory in films like the final two Transformers films and Michael Bay’s action film Pain and Gain.

At the age of fifty-two, the actor is still ripped and is working hard to maintain his physique. The actor reportedly wakes up at 3:30 AM to finish his workouts before he starts his work day. While the actor used to workout on all seven days a week, he recently revealed that he has cut down on that practice as he has grown older and focuses on recovery.

In an interview with Fox News, Wahlberg revealed that he works out five days a week now and takes the rest of the two days off to recover and rest. He said,
“There’s no reason why anybody, never mind somebody at 52 years old, needs to be training, seven days a week and then doing two a day. You’re just putting a pounding on your body and recovery, you know, God has given us the best possible gifts. One of them is sleep right to recover and to heal and also even cold water.”
The actor also revealed that his rest routine includes getting ample amounts of sleep on his two days off while also taking a cold plunge. He mentioned that he wanted to avoid the injuries and focus on the long haul rather than just getting larger.
