It’s not the actor’s first foray into real estate—the Hollywood star has amassed his wealth by buying and selling several multimillion-dollar properties over the years.

Wahlberg has an estimated net worth of $400 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, a fortune he has built from his successful career in Hollywood, business ventures, endorsement deals, and real estate.3

Film

Wahlberg has earned millions from his successful career in Hollywood as an actor and producer.

He has acted in blockbuster films such as “Ted,” ” Planet of the Apes,” ” Transformers” and “The Departed,” among many others. Wahlberg is also said to have backend deals with studios, meaning he gets a portion of the film’s profits—and many of his films have made hundreds of millions at the box office.

The actor earned an estimated $17 million in salary for “Transformers: The Last Knight” in 2017, according to The Hollywood Reporter.4 The film went on to earn more than $600 million at the global box office.5 However, Wahlberg’s biggest box-office hit is “Transformers: The Age of Extinction” (2014), which made about $1.1 billion worldwide.6

Wahlberg is a producer, too. The Oscar-nominated actor has his own production and distribution company, Closest to the Hole Productions. The company has produced many of Wahlberg’s films such as “Deepwater Horizon,” “Patriots Day,” “Spenser Confidential,” “Mile 22,” and many others.

Wahlberg was also the executive producer for TV shows such as HBO’s “Ballers” and “Boardwalk Empire,” and “Entourage” through his company.7 According to a 2017 estimate by The Hollywood Reporter, Wahlberg’s fees for executive producing these shows were between $50,000 and $75,000 per episode.4

The family even had a reality show about the business called Wahlburgers from 2014 to 2019 on A&E, featuring all three brothers. Wahlburger also became the official burger of the Boston Red Sox in 2022—the Wahlbergs’ hometown is Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Fitness and Nutrition Businesses

Wahlberg is also invested in F45 Training, a chain of gyms with 1,700 studios and 3,300 franchises in 67 countries. The company went public in 2021 with a valuation of about $1.4 billion, with Wahlberg holding a 1.73% stake in the company, according to Reuters.8
