And with the delivery of such gargantuan earnings in the studios’ offers, they ensure that his pockets are also sufficiently stuffed with compensation, which has enabled him to create a staggering $440 Million net worth.

But contrary to the assumption that Transformers: Age of Extinction might’ve been his highest-paying film, it’s actually Netflix’s Spenser Confidential.

Starting off in the industry as a young buck with his rhymes in the Hip-Hop and Rap music scene, Mark Wahlberg quickly saw himself rise to fame with his entry into major films in Hollywood.

Today, the star sits at the top with several A-List celebrities as one of the most commercially successful actors in history.

Despite Transformers: Age of Extinction being his most commercially successful endeavor in films with a whopping $1.1 Billion in revenue, he was only paid $17 Million. In comparison, he got more than double for his Netflix film.

In 2020, Wahlberg, along with actor Winston Duke, featured in their Netflix original film titled Spenser Confidential, which remains the third biggest movie of all time for the streaming giant.

According to their measurement metrics, with more than 85 Million households viewing it in the first month of its release, the film was a smashing success.

And seeing that the Uncharted star was paid $30 Million, more than twice for the aforementioned Transformers movie, Netflix may have had the assurance that his star power and promise of delivery would do them right in the end.

While the film may not have been such a huge critical success, the commercial success more than made up for it not being a masterpiece.

The film tells the tale of a former police officer named Spenser, who was imprisoned after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a fellow officer who was suspected of murdering one of his family friends.

When he is released, he goes to live with his friend Henry Cimoli and his roommate Hawk quietly. But then, an honest police officer pleads guilty to murder, and Spenser decides to get to the bottom of it.
