Hollywood is losing stars left and right, as actors move out of Los Angeles.

Mark Wahlberg Not the Only Celeb Who Has Left Los Angeles in the 'Great Hollywood Escape'

SUMMARY

It would seem that Hollywood is losing its luster for those who are a part of the film industry, as several A-list celebrities are making their way out of there, choosing to continue with their lives elsewhere.
Mark Wahlberg, being one such example, has moved to the city of Los Angeles with his entire family, including his four children, wanting a better life for them.
He isn’t the only one, as massive names in the business like Sylvester Stallone to Kelly Clarkson, and Gwen Stefani are not finding Hollywood as attractive anymore.

In recent times, it would seem that Hollywood is losing its luster for those who are a part of the film industry. As long as this has existed, cinema has often been correlated with the state of California, with a huge majority of celebrities living their lives there.

However, recently, several A-list celebrities are making their way out of there, choosing to continue with their lives elsewhere. Mark Wahlberg, being one such example, has moved to the city of Las Vegas with his entire family, including his four children.

As the actor explained his reasoning for this in a recent interview, more and more celebrities are following in his footsteps. From Sylvester Stallone to Kelly Clarkson, and Gwen Stefani, it would seem that Hollywood as a whole is not as attractive to the stars anymore.

Why Did Mark Wahlberg Leave Los Angeles?

Mark Wahlberg recently interviewed with FoxNews, where he talked about his recent decision to move away from the City of Angels, and to Las Vegas, having listed their Beverly Hills estate for $87.5 million.

He confessed that the decision was partially fueled by his want to pursue other aspects of his career, with him wanting to open a studio of his own and has a lot of opportunity for that. While this is certainly one of the reasons, his biggest reason to leave Hollywood was for his children.

“It just has the best of both worlds. I know a lot of people, when they think Las Vegas, they think the Strip,” he said. “But just about 15, 20 minutes away, there’s a whole lot of other amazing areas that are all about family and community.” he went on, mentioning that he wanted to give his children “an opportunity to pursue their goals and dreams” he added, “My daughter’s an equestrian,” he said. “My son’s a golfer. My oldest daughter, now she’s off to college. My son’s a junior.”

“There’s lots of opportunity here as well for me. We’re trying to create a studio. We’re trying to build the shoe factory. We want to create lots of jobs here.”
The father of four confessed that moving helped him give his children an opportunity to pursue their interests and become their own people. He added that this would give them a chance to thrive as individuals. He then talked about how the location of his house there only adds to this. Having the quiet, suburban life, while, at the same time, being able to go to the Las Vegas Strip whenever they want is quite the addition for him.

Mark Wahlberg Isn’t The Only One Escaping The Blinding Lights Of HollywoodThere have been several other celebrities who have moved away from the state of California and a looking to pursue their interests elsewhere. Sylvester Stallone sold his Los Angeles mansion to singer, Adele in 2022, having moved to Florida in 2021. His wife, Jennifer Flavin, revealed during an interview that there wasn’t much left for their family there. They simply wanted a change of scenery and explore new things in their lives.
“I think California is probably the most beautiful state in the United States, I absolutely love it, but I just needed a change. I felt like I’ve been there long enough, and life is short, so I wanted to make a change and not just be sitting in one house the rest of my life.” said Jennifer Flavin.
Kelly Clarkson also left Hollywood and moved to New York, amid her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, and the beginning of her talk show. Gwen Stefani has also moved part-time to the state of Oklahoma, which is allowing her an opportunity to relive her childhood, alongside her husband, Blake Shelton.
