Mark Wahlberg is undoubtedly one of the most talented superstars of all time. Wahlberg may be known among the masses in the present as a great actor but the superstar began his career by being a part of the rock band. Mark Wahlberg On His Painful Tattoo Removal Journey
Mark Wahlberg has had his fair share of tattoos, with eight or nine, covering his body. However, he shared that the painful journey of their removal was a decision that he made as he grew older and wiser.
Contrary to the recommended time frame of five to seven years with multiple treatment visits, Wahlberg opted for a more accelerated approach. He underwent the removal process in approximately seven months, enduring the excruciating pain.
“I had, like, eight or nine. They went all the way around my neck, my stomach, my arms, my back, my leg…It took me five years to get all of the tattoos removed.

Mark Wahlberg On Making His Children A Part Of His Tattoo Removal Journey
The Perfect Storm star took the opportunity to caution his children about tattoos. In a bid to discourage them from getting inked, he even brought his children along to witness his arduous laser appointments.
However, it seems like the efforts of the Ted star became futile, as his daughter, Ella Rae Wahlberg, still ended up with two tattoos. Wahlberg acknowledged that sometimes people need to figure things out for themselves.
“I thought, you know what, I’m not really supposed to mark my body. I was trying to really also get them removed, work, and for personal and professional reasons. So, I took my children. My daughter now has two tattoos, my eighteen-year-old. So, it didn’t work. You gotta figure things out for yourself.”
