Mark Wahlberg’s acting brilliance often left his fans scratching their heads because of his extraordinary, unique creative ability to transform himself into his characters.

Wahlberg brought in the Transformers franchise with his character debut as Cade Yeager in two of Michael Bay’s directorial: Transformers: Age of Extinction and the fifth installment, Transformers: The Last Knight, which marks his last collaboration in the action-packed science fiction film series. In a candid interview, the actor explained his character in the fifth installment as “little more tiring, a little older, but fun.”

Mark Wahlberg shares his experience working in the fourth installment and compares it with the then-filming fifth installment. He said,
“A little more tiring, a little older, but fun. For Michael, and I this, is our third movie, so we’re quite familiar with each other and know where to push each other, and bring the best out of each other. But I’m definitely not as young as I used to be; that’s the biggest difference.

So you need to have; new people, young people that are super excited and super eager to get in there anytime we’re doing something dangerous action-wise. It’s pretty annoying, but I get it, I understand the enthusiasm; I just give it a little time.”

Mark Wahlberg further explains that in Transformers: The Last Knight, his character Cade Yeager is depicted as a bit older,
“They wanted to make sense that I was older, a little slower. But yeah, you meet up with Cade now, and he’s living elsewhere, and he’s basically had to go on his own on the run, which is one of the reasons why, to protect his daughter and make sure that she is no longer hunted in the way that Cade is. But yeah, a loner.”
He added,
“I mean if I could snap my fingers and just be sitting in a room after forty-something days of getting the crap kicked out of me, I’d rather be doing comedy, but this stuff is fun too.”
According to reports, Transformers: The Last Knight was Mark Wahlberg and director Michael Bay’s last work in the franchise. Both of them stepped down from the beloved film series after its fifth installment, but despite receiving mixed reviews from the critics, the movie became a massive hit by grossing $605 million worldwide at the box office.

Mark Wahlberg is arguably one of the most handsome talents in the film industry. Wahlberg is an alpha masculine Hunk who loves taking challenging on-screen roles. The actor has worked on several monumental projects, and his work in the Transformers franchise film series remained the best.

However, he quit the franchise only after doing two of its sequels and shared the reason behind it during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

Talking about his final project in the franchise, Wahlberg said, “It’s the last one, so I get my life back!.” The actor further claimed that he worked tirelessly to get into his character’s physiques as before the production of Transformers 5, he was doing some other film.

Wahlberg shared,
“I’d done Patriots Day just before and had put on as much weight as possible, so I had to get back in shape. I took to running and working out. I incorporated my golf obsession with my workout regime and started running golf courses – I’d hit the ball, sprint to the ball; and hit it again. I did that for five months!”
The seventh installment in the Transformers live-action film series, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, is set to hit theaters on June 9, 2023.
