There have been a lot of times when the NBC sitcom FRIENDS has made us laugh our a*ses off with their comedic punchlines and sticky situations.

At the same time, it has given us some very impactful and emotional scenarios to work with. In one of these situations, Oscar-winner Julia Roberts went on to witness pure terror on the sets of the show.

This was when she was featured in the episode titled The One After The Superbowl: Part Two on the show as a guest star playing the character of Susie.

In an interview that she had back in 1996, (via Entertainment Tonight) the Pretty Woman star talked about working with the cast of the show alongside late actor and ex-boyfriend Matthew Perry.

She opened up about the experience, saying that although she loved her guest appearance in the 13th Episode of the second season, it was almost too much to bear.

She revealed that since she was there for just a single episode, she felt like she was late to the party, as every other member of the cast already knew each other and were closer to each other than her, which made her numbingly nervous. She said:
“It was utterly nerve-racking, I was so nervous I thought I could just, maybe die or throw up, the throw up factor was high. It’s like coming into a 90-day movie shoot on day 88, you know. These people all know each other and all their characters, they know how to be funny.”
While it may have been an uncomfortable initial interaction with her surroundings, she managed to make it into a pleasant experience at the end along with giving us an amazing episode.

Why Is FRIENDS Such A Popular Show?

When the show first started to hit the TV screens all the way back in 1994, it became one of the biggest sitcoms to have ever graced Television networks. And almost 30 years later, FRIENDS is still hailed as one of the greatest of all time.

One of the biggest reasons why the show hit home with the old generation and the new is because of the constant running theme of friendship that it preached.

Making a connection between the main cast, the show subconsciously managed to make a bond of friendship with the audience as well, which led to people caring for these characters.
