“[Nolan] takes it to another extreme — I didn’t know I was in the movie,” Neeson once told.

I went and shot a scene for two hours with Christian Bale. There was a set, and Christian was tied up,” Neeson told.

I said, ‘Chris, what am I doing?’ [Nolan said,] ‘Umm well, just walk forward, and say the lines, walk back, and that’ll be it, really.’

I said, ‘What the f**k? Tell me the story!’ [He said,] ‘Umm, I’d prefer not to, really’. ‘Okay, don’t mind me – I’m just an actor!’

Christopher Nolan would simply give him instructions without any explanation. The star was undoubtedly a little bit frustrated by this act.

Liam Neeson’s portrayal was hailed for his intensity and depth. Neeson gave the role a strong presence and an intense performance, making him a formidable and complex villain. His portrayal of Ra’s al Ghul contributed significantly to the film’s success and solidified the character’s place in the Batman mythos.
