There’s no doubt that they would never have survived even a small amount of the things Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) lays out for them.

Remember in Home Alone 2 when he actually hurls bricks at them from a rooftop? They’d have been lucky to live through being hit by even one.

So YouTuber BitMassive has taken five specific moments from the two comedies – and made them a tiny bit more realistic.

In short – now they feature a lot of blood. And they’re certainly NOT for the faint-hearted.

They’ve been kicking around since the beginning of the year but have gained more traction as the festive season approaches, and one of the clips in particular has amassed a huge 1.7 million plays.

Others have each attracted hundreds and thousands of views.

Don’t panic if it scolds your memories of the movie: the (unbloody) original version will be screened on Channel 4 this Christmas Day, at 5:50pm.
