Theron talked about her losing weight overnight by skipping meals and then filming for movies. Theron faced severe difficulties in losing weight which she gained for a movie with Blade Runner 2049 star Mackenzie Davis. Charlize Theron told ET that:

“Then I did it at 43 for ‘Tully,’ and I remember a year into trying to lose the weight, I called my doctor and I said, ‘I think I’m dying because I cannot lose this weight.’ And he was like, ‘You’re over 40. Calm down. Your metabolism is not what it was.’ Nobody wants to hear that”.

Charlize Theron did another movie with Davis in which she gained close to 50 pounds. The Monster star revealed that filming Tully was a hard nut to crack, yet she did.

Theron also revealed that it was her first time eating extremely processed food and drinking excessive sugar, which eventually gave the actress depression. After understanding the truth from her doctor Theron couldn’t take it easy as it was quite tough for the actress to suffer from such a condition she faced after playing an exhausted mother of three in the Jason Reitman movie.

The actress claimed that it was interesting for her in the initial period of filming Tully, where she would go grab fast food breakfast and drink two milkshakes until it became a problem for her.

The actress had to consume processed food by setting alarms and waking up in the middle of the night to maintain her weight. Charlize Theron revealed that it took her a year and a half to lose weight after Tully and labeled it as a “very long journey.”

Theron has had an incredible Hollywood career in which she received an Academy Award for playing an insane serial killer. The actress is also famous for her part in George Miller‘s Mad Max. And when it comes to her personal life, the actress has high standards in dating.
