Talking about the scene where Vivian offers Edward a choice of condoms, Blunt shared that as a kid, she thought Roberts’ character was offering sweets to Edward. “I was, like, ‘Oh, that’s so cool, she’s, like, giving him sweets to choose from,’” she recalled.

And her father played along with her misconception, telling her that they were indeed sweets “and he can choose which one he wanted.” While she admitted that she might not have understood most of it at the time, Blunt also shared that she was “disturbed” upon watching the movie later.
