All eyes are usually on the glitzy gowns the celebrities wear to the MTV Video Music Awards.

However this year, the stars appeared to battle it out for who could flash the most flesh, as Megan Fox, Ciara, Ashanti and Charli XCX all took to the red carpet in next to nothing at the Barclays Center in New York on Sunday.

X-rated ensembles appeared to be the order of the evening, as celebrities opted for semi-sheer, thigh-grazing and bondage-inspired looks as they attended the annual music awards.

Elsewhere was Kacey Musgraves, who put a groovy twist on Southern Belle style wearing a fabulous feathered hat with a silk Valentino couture party dress and red leather opera gloves. Rounding out the look, she slipped into a pair of Cinderella-esque clear heels.

Oozing confidence, he let one side of the bedazzled jacket fall off his shoulder to reveal his toned chest below.

Fabric gathered on one hip flowed off the the side into a fabulous train, which swept behind the star several feet.

Matching the rhinestones on his ensemble, Lil Nas added butterfly earrings and matching rings, complemented by a white manicure. Patent leather boots tied things together, along with bold grooming.
