Mark Wahlberg, former Funky Bunch front man and rapper, now regrets his past life.
SUMMARY
Mark Wahlberg regrets his time as a rapper.
Mark Wahlberg shared his experience explaining his music career to his children and revealed that he felt embarrassed while rewatching some of his fashion choices during his performances.
DC wanted Mark Wahlberg as Robin Batman and Robin which was believed to be the worst-rated superhero film of all time.
Before he became a popular actor, Mark Wahlberg was the frontman and rapper for the band called Funky Bunch.
The hip-hop band was formed in 1991 and featured Wahlberg (known as Marky Mark), Scott Ross (Scottie Gee), Hector Barros (Hector the Booty Inspector), Terry Yancy (DJ-T), and Anthony Thomas (Ashley Ace). However, Wahlberg regrets his time as a rapper.

Besides, the actor’s children aren’t fans of his styling and fashion sense in the ’90s. In many interviews, the actor has spoken about how embarrassed he is by his past life and style.
Mark Wahlberg Regrets The Dumb Things He Did Previously
During an appearance on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, Mark Wahlberg spoke about how he had to explain to his kids, particularly about his music career and appearing in a show that showed stuff that happened in the ’90s.
The actor revealed that he felt embarrassed while rewatching some of his fashion choices during his performances. He also acknowledged that most of his embarrassing moments have been well-documented.

Wahlberg told Jonathan Ross:
“I got so much explaining to do to my kids between stuff that I did in my music career and early on there was a show about stuff in the 90s and I was on it and I was thoroughly embarrassed.
I mean half of the time I had my pants down around my ankle. I looked like a stripper instead of a rapper… What kind of credibility am I gonna have if you know all of all the dumb things that I did have pretty much been documented. I don’t have evidence of my parents doing anything dumb.”
Before making a move to movies, Mark Wahlberg also worked as a model for Calvin Klein. After his time as a musician and a model, he transitioned and tried his luck in the film industry.
He made his silver screen debut in 1994 with the film Renaissance Man. The actor landed his first lead role in the 1996 film Fear.
DC Wanted To Cast Mark Wahlberg In Their Worst Film
When Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin hit theaters in 1997, it was believed to be the worst-rated superhero film of all time.
This sentiment has persisted even now, making the film one of the worst superhero films to embrace the genre. The film starred George Clooney as Batman and Chris O’Donnell as Robin, but DC initially wanted Mark Wahlberg as Robin long before he was considered for the role of Green Lantern.
Mark Wahlberg
Wahlberg told Yahoo! Movies:
“Once I was kind of being talked about for the Robin role in ‘Batman [Forever]’. Somebody dodged a bullet!”
Fortunately, Mark Wahlberg did not take the part, avoiding a potentially career-damaging choice. Even George Clooney must be regretting his choice.
