Wahlberg told Jonathan Ross:
“I got so much explaining to do to my kids between stuff that I did in my music career and early on there was a show about stuff in the 90s and I was on it and I was thoroughly embarrassed.

I mean half of the time I had my pants down around my ankle. I looked like a stripper instead of a rapper… What kind of credibility am I gonna have if you know all of all the dumb things that I did have pretty much been documented. I don’t have evidence of my parents doing anything dumb.”
Before making a move to movies, Mark Wahlberg also worked as a model for Calvin Klein. After his time as a musician and a model, he transitioned and tried his luck in the film industry.

He made his silver screen debut in 1994 with the film Renaissance Man. The actor landed his first lead role in the 1996 film Fear.

DC Wanted To Cast Mark Wahlberg In Their Worst Film

When Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin hit theaters in 1997, it was believed to be the worst-rated superhero film of all time.

This sentiment has persisted even now, making the film one of the worst superhero films to embrace the genre. The film starred George Clooney as Batman and Chris O’Donnell as Robin, but DC initially wanted Mark Wahlberg as Robin long before he was considered for the role of Green Lantern.

“Once I was kind of being talked about for the Robin role in ‘Batman [Forever]’. Somebody dodged a bullet!”
Fortunately, Mark Wahlberg did not take the part, avoiding a potentially career-damaging choice. Even George Clooney must be regretting his choice.
