Megan Fox has been known as Hollywood’s on-screen siren for about two decades now. Her portrayal of Mikaela Banes in the Transformers franchise made her a household name. But apart from those films she has starred in plenty more like Rogue, Till Death, Battle of Jangsari, and more.

Yet, apart from the Transformers movies, there is only one other film that she is globally known for. However, as per her co-star, shooting it was not a pleasant experience. She even realized that it just wasn’t worth it to film in water or get hung up on harnesses.

In Jennifer’s Body, Megan Fox played the titular Jennifer Check while her co-star Amanda Seyfried portrayed Anita Lesnicki. The film was about the protagonist becoming a succubus due to a satanic ritual conducted by a band and then going on a murderous rampage. The 2009 film grossed only $31 million on a $16 million budget. But over the years, it has achieved a cult-classic status.

Even though audiences have embraced the underappreciated film and are viewing it through new lenses, Seyfried once commented that making the film wasn’t an easy affair. In fact, she straight-up told actors that they shouldn’t try shooting in water.

In an interview with Variety Fair to discuss her most notable films, the actress said:

“I just remember being cold a lot during this movie because we were shooting it at night because it’s a thriller. A lot of thrillers are shot at night… We were all freezing… this was an acting exercise like no other. I don’t think I’ve ever done a scene like this in my life.”

She further explained to the audience that if an actor gets wet for a minute or two in the film, it means they were wet for a couple of days straight. The Mean Girls actress stated that even though there were things like hot water bottles and warming tents on the set of Jennifer’s Body, it didn’t really help and they had to power through the cold. But this wasn’t her only problem in the movie.

Amanda Seyfried has played a variety of characters in several films over her decades-long spanning career. From Mamma Mia! to Mean Girls and more, she has showcased her range. However, the actress realized that action films and action scenes were not her cup of tea.

In fact, she realized this while filming Jennifer’s Body. The star revealed that she hated being put in a harness for a levitating scene. Seyfried said:

“I remember realizing that it wasn’t for me. I didn’t want to be in pain in that way.”

The actress elaborated that even though there were stunt coordinators on set for the action scenes, she still didn’t find herself being comfortable during those moments. Overall, Seyfried realized that her skills were going to be better used in other genres of films.
